Hana Ajiashvili

Hana Ajiashvili Hana Ajiashvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1972. She received a Master Diploma in composition and piano from the Sergiashvili Music Academy and in 1996 she continued her studies in composition with the composer Vladimir Tarnopolsky at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. Later she participated in Master Classes at the Contemporary Music Center in Moscow. She received First Prize in a competition for contemporary works for oboe and chamber ensemble at the Master Class held by the oboist Ernest Rombaut (Nederland). Her works have been performed at many young composers’ forums and in festivals such as "Moscow Autumn" and "Alternativa". In 2000, Hana Ajiashvili has founded the Contemporary Music Ensemble "East-West". In 2001 she immigrated to Israel and continued her activities as a composer and teacher at the Or Yehuda Conservatory. In 2004 she won First Prize at the Young Israeli Composer’s Competition of the "Contemporary Players” ensemble.
She has completed her PhD at the Bar llan University, Israel.
