Alex Wasserman

Born in Sao Paulo, Brasil, 1963. Graduated the Tel-Aviv Academy - composition and teaching certification (B.mus.), Mannes College of Music - composition and cello (M.M), Northern Illinois University - composition cello and conducting (M.M), The Juilliard School (D.M.A). Alex has been performed in Israel as well as the Europe and the USA. He has won several honors, among them is the Albert Szirmai Scholarship, The Norfolk Summer Music Program Fellowship, he has been commissioned by several performance groups and festivals in Israel and abroad. Alex is an Instructor and Lecturer at the Open University and ‘Hed’ College of Music, teaches theory and composition in several highschools and conservatories, played the cello in different orchestras and practices conducting and composition. He has published one of his compositions for Flute and Strings at the Israel Music Institute.
