Naama Perel

Born in Kiriat Ono ,Israel, in 1984. For over a decade now she has been performing and writing original contemporary music for diverse media. She is inspired by many sources: Nature, current events, plastic art, and more.She is searching and expanding the borders of musical styles and traditions, especially her own traditional roots of Yemenite and Tunisian music. Naama Perel was recently selected by the “Ha’aretz” Newspaper as one of the most promising composers in Israel.
In the last three years, she has been giving lectures about her music and research in diverse countries.
Currently a Ph.D. student in music composition and theory at the University of Pittsburgh PA
