Moshe Rasiuk

Moshe Rasiuk Born in Haifa, Israel, 1954. Graduated the Tel-Aviv Rubin Academy in composition and Tel-Aviv University in musicology. Studied with Abel Ehrlich and Josef Tal. In 1982 his composition “East Wind-Kadim” ,was awarded first prize in Young Composers Competition organized by the Israel Sinfonietta, and performed by the top Israeli orchestras, recorded on CD and included in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestras’ tour to Australia in 1989 under the baton of Zubin Mehta. “Mountains” for string orchestra has been performed by the Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Israeli Chamber Orchestra. Among his vocal works: “The Market St.” performed by the Cameran Singers and recently recorded by the BBC Singers for British radio. “Sodom Square” for chorus and percussion also performed by the Cameran Singers was produced for Israel television and awarded the Yoel Engel Prize for original Israeli music in 1991.
